Ads for the Big Carl make the Big Mac look pretty pathetic. Product vs. Product. Best product wins. Chase is new to California but not to banking. Wow! What a message. Chevy is on Ebay. Wow! “The feedback? 100% positive” according to the spokesperson. What do the first 25 seconds of this 30 second spot have to do with Chevy being on Ebay? Can’t figure it out. A couple of years of trivializing the product has caught up with VW’s ad agency. Client is equally culpable. Product will always win but you have to get the massage across. Like the Big Carl.
