iPhone 4 under $200 bucks?!?

While standing in that crazy ass long line at the Apple store to pick up the latest iPhone 4, did you ever realize the actual cost of the phone? Well, iFixit and iSuppli (2 companies that are in the business of taking apart iPhones and selling parts for the DIY folks) has released the approx cost of the components and the sum of the parts comes right around $188 bucks! They even sell just about every part that you could theoretically build a Frankenstein iPhone 4 if you really wanted to go down that road. I wouldn’t advice building your own iPhone however, that’s just a bit crazy talk!

Rosie Whiteley saving Transformers 3

So I was a bit bummed when I heard that Megan Fox was no longer going to be in Transformers 3, but then I heard that Rosie Whiteley was gonna take her place and everything is now better. If you don’t know who Ms. Whiteley is, well she is best known for her work as a Victoria Secret’s model and honestly, that’s about enough for me to care about. Cause if you really think about it, Transformers 3 is gonna be about giant robots that transform into cars or planes or whatever they want to and rain down mad super robot fights all while a hot ass girl runs around during the non-action. That’s cool with me…and can you believe those lips? AMAZING!!!

In Memory of Coach John Wooden

We are all sadden by the passing of the great Coach John Wooden. He died just this past weekend and was honored and remembered at the Lakers vs. Celtics NBA finals game by such greats as Kareen Abdul Jabbar and Bill Walton. A colorful tribute to the basketball legend is planned at UCLA this Friday at the graduation ceremonies. His “Pyramid of Success” helped raise his players and those around him to be the best that they could be, so we again will post his amazing building blocks here. R.I.P. Coach Wooden, we will miss you but never forget what you’ve given us. Click on image to view it larger.

Ebony Magazine can’t tell the future

Way back in August of 1985, Ebony Magazine commissioned a Chicago artist named Nathan Wright to depict what the future may bring to the stars of that time. He picked Michael Jackson and what he would look like in the year 2000…yeah he was spot on.
